- i got the part from Phil @ fastlane. it matches what was in there, looks like it fits.

- i have all of the pin that was in there for sure. the only other possibility i can think of is that part of another old pin is in there (car is new to me, wasnt shifting right when i got it). but it really doesnt feel like it, and as much as i can see with my mirror it doesnt look like it.

- the new modulator is about 3/8 to 1/2 in from seating all the way. the fit is really tight even up to that point. i really have to work it to get it in that far. i have put atf on the rubber gasket to help it out going in.

maybe i just need to push it more? its even hard to twist it any more when its that 1/2" away from being seated.

grr, this is frustrating...
