My car was down the past 3 weeks for belts/alternator replacement. Back up and running again this past weekend. However, when the car sits for a minute at a traffic light, the rpms drop to around 600 and the car will not immediately accelerate. Eventually the car picks up speed and all is well again.

Is there a possible problem with the alternator installation? Should I try bumping up the idle speed?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
