Thanks for the ideas. I've been treating my fuel tank with Star-Tron for the dreaded fungus, and I'd considered that maybe the problem might be due to the fuel filter. Based on my past luck though, I was convinced it had to be with my alternator replacement. I'll try a new filter when I get home

As for the Italian tune up, isn't that the only way to drive an open interstate?
