Maybe it's how you define table wine.

My beloved grandfather, who passed away last year, was a wine drinker his whole life. His father came from the Old Country, where red wine was consumed like water. Even kids drank wine at the dinner table.

He routinely kept a bottle. No, better call it a glass jug. Bottle is too nice of a word. He kept a gallon glass jug of a red wine called "Dago Red" on the floor underneath the dinner table all the time. He liked his red wine warm, and he drank it out of a drinking glass.

To me, that is a table wine. One that rests on or underneath the table, 24 hours a day.
