because my experience has been the same so far. I've rolled about 30K miles on a headgasket and valve seal replacement without any problems. Perhaps I have one of the few "good" motors but its just as likely the widely reported problems are sensationalized due to the high cost of the repair (whatever the cause?).

It is amusing to revisit this debate every 9 months or so...
