I probably should have mentioned that I've got a 1983 E300D- W123 and was looking into changing over to the manual system found in the W123 E240D! Much less complicated and no electronics to mess up! Totally manual system that seems to be less prone to problems. I was just sort of thinking about it and wondered if anyone has done it.
