I can't see doing it without at least jacking the rear end up and putting it on stands. I have been able to empty the tank with one of those $5 bulb siphons from Home Despot, then unhooking the fuel line at the FI and running the pump to get the rest of it out. Don't take the strainer out with gas in the tank!
I am all in favor or doing stuff yourself, but this is an excellent job to outsource to someone with a gas caddy, a lift, and disposal facilities. To say nothing of the giant hex key you need to unscrew the strainer assembly. It's not all that rewarding as a learning experience and you will stink up your garage for a week. Gas fumes seem to linger in concrete floors.
