I have a 1985 380e and it is idling high. It revs at about 2000 rpm when in “park” and then when driving at a stand still it revs at 1600 rpm this is high. Also to stop the car I almost have to put both feet on the brake since the high rev, and then when I take the feet of the brake it takes off like a bat out of hell.

Ok were should I start looking what could be wrong?
