well its the weekend after christmas and my little brother has been itching to try out his new 870 express 12g , im dyin to try my scope, slugs, new clay thrower, and the mossberg shotgun i picked up this weekend for $70. we got out to where we were gonna shoot got set up, and my little brother shot a 3" magnum slug out of his gun. so much kick it knocked him on his ass. (he wasnt expecting that much). i shot some slugs out of my 20g, they were cool, but i was hoping to do more damage with them. i think the buck shot did more. i got the scope pretty well set on my 22 and enjoyed shooting at a cutting edge i brough at about 60 yards. so i decided i wanted to shoot clays(my favorite). set up the thrower and after about 30clays, the little finger that holds the clays came loose and we didnt notice it. threw another clay and the finger with bolt was gone.

luckily i brought my hand held thrower. i found that i could hold the gun in my left hand, throw the clay, switch hands and hit damn near every time. it was a neat feeling being able to throw them myself and then hit them. we shot 100 20g between two 20g shotguns, 250 12g between 2 12g shotguns and about 300 .22lr between 3 .22's. when i looked at the inside of the barrel on the 20g i started to worry. i looked ruined from the slugs. as it turns out it was metal fouling from the slugs. brass brush and hoppes #9 took care of it. so now i feel better. i just thought i would share my day with yall.
lets hear some of your shooting stories.
