carfax clean is not enough, have a VMI report printout form a willing Mercedes dealership and have them inspect car.

Glunk noise may be ABS self diagnostic test, which is normal - do you feel sensation in brake pedal when Glunk noise happens? if not then could be control arm bushing??

Take to Mercedes technician for an inspection - the smart thing to do.
