The mileage that I quote is mostly in short-distance, 20 to 30 mile local trips. This could be considered city driving, although I average around 60-65 mph during them. I also have another question, related to the same theme. How many gallons of gas does the '86 560SEL hold. Is it the same as the '90 560? My owner's manual came off of ebay, and it was for a '90 model (curiously, all of the other books were in the car, and were correct). The '90 book shows a 23.8 gallon tank, with a 3.3 gallon reserve. Is this the same as the '86 model? I only ask because even when I fill up and the reserve light is on, and I have driven on reserve for a while, it only takes 17 or so gallons to fill up.
Thanks, and God Bless,
Dave.
