I am not sure what happened to the 300D I haven't seen it in person. I am going to make the trip this week or next. The yard man said it runs great but has a fair amount of body damage to right fender, head lights grill etc. and a fair amount of rust in the usualy places. He said I was more than welcome to come up and look it over or have someone look at it, drive and all. I think I have called every salvage yard within a 150 mile radius and these are the only 2 MB diesel engines I have found. Quite a few told me they could ge me one from another salvage yard in their "network" but the prices on those were high! $1000+ I was hoping to find one in the $500 range give or take a little. So far these are my 2 options.
