The above procedure only applies to the late style 124 switch which has three ports and an integrated check valve. The early switch has only two ports and no internal check valve. Htownbenzo, follow the diagram that you posted but use a single port check valve and run it directly to vacuum by tee'ing into the brown line at the main vacuum line.
