In my car I have a sealed enclosure box with a large port in it. I have not yet made a port hole into the car. The sub sounds pretty good just like that, sure the bass could be louder if I did port it, but I just havent gotten around to it yet.

Though I do prefer to feel my bass rather than hear it.

My car has the factory speakers, and an alpine 35wx4 head unit. The stock speakers sound fine with the head unit, and the sub makes the stereo sound much much better.

if I do port the car for the sub sound to come into the cabin, I would probably do it in the bottom of the first aid kit box, moving the first aid kit to the trunk itself.

Leaving the cover for the first aid kit intact.

This should allow the sound to enter the cabin.

You could start cutting holes in your deck in other places, but with my box in the trunk, the port is directly below the first aid box, so it only seems right to put a hole there for the sub. thus keeping a factory appearance cosmetically without the factory sound.

I will of course be upgrading the speakers and all in the car sooner or later, but first things first...

Wheels and tires, 94-95 tail lights Sportline suspension, chip and exhaust and maybe air filter.

Then I will worry about stereo and speakers.

As long as the factory speakers stay intect that is.. hehehe
