If the pump is bad then drop in a 240D engine. Those pumps are a booger to find in any kind of decent condition. The last one I had rebuilt was $700 from a friend of mine in the business. They are usually so worn out they are un-rebuildable.

240 engines are a dime a dozen. You'll appreciate the extra engine when it comes A/C time. My 220 would overheat in about 20 minutes of traffic time with the A/C on. It helped to go to a Sandan compressor but it still was a gutless wonder with the A/C.
