although the factory service manual says to replace in pairs, which is a good policy for a dealership because of profitability and liability, in actuality i have replaced them many times one at a time with no problems. you just have to make sure the remaining one is funcioning correctly.

the ate and bendix use the same size pistons and pads so they completely interchangible.
