ok thanks, i found what you are talking about. That giant servo looking thing is the actuator right? I knew where the amp was, and i've already tried re-soldering everything in it etc. My only reservation about calling peter is that i have no intention on spending the kind of money on rebuilt parts that it would take. I would try to rebuild the broken parts myself first. Also, on a 300SD(w126) which part of the system has anything to do with the vacuum system? thanks a ton,
