Those little pumps attached to the IP seldom give any problem. I would check and clean the tank screen located above the supply line, passenger side of tank. If those hoses haven't been changed they may be "weeping" and should be changed anyway. There are two on the other side of the tank to check also. they can drip fuel on your axle boot if bad so take a look at that side too.
