your car should have a separate vacuum system just for the doors with an electric pump iniside the spare tire well in the trunk !
(1) I suggest your create a signature much like that you see below with basic information such as YEAR & MODEL... and other information as to miles on both engine and tranny. This makes it much easier for us to help you. Some of us are trying to help several new FORUM participants at a time and this would be a tremendous HELP to us trying to help you!
(2) IF you do not yet have one, you should invest in a hand vacuum pump with gauge. This is an essential tool, especially for working on these vintage DIESELs.
