Actually I was just kidding about that. If I was truly unhappy with my marriage I'd leave, no matter what the financial cost.
Rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable.
For me, the times when I've been closest to calling it quits it has not been the financial pain that has kept me hanging around. Rather, it has been the pain of not being able to see my children ALL the time that has made me rethink my unhappiness.
Besides, after 30 years, who else would put up with me, warts and all?
It is not easy living with an irascible Cuban. So we hang on to what we got.
