Another option is to check around for a rebuilt climate control unit. It would be cheaper if you don't mind a rebuilt one.

I have problem on my CC unit. The dealer would charge me more than $2k to replace a new OE CC unit. I have lived with the problem for a very long time. Finally, I decided to tackle the problem after knowing how to remove the unit.
