He's definitely pulling your chain with that comment; you probably want to requalify that buyer.
Midland-Odessa is flat as a board and just about as interesting; imagine western Oklahoma without any trees, with more wind and even less culture. Hell, the place wouldn't have been at
all if the wagon hadn't broke a wheel on the way west. But, in defense of the place, (if you are on expense account) there are some really, really good steakhouses in both Midland and Odessa. The old joke is "Party in Odessa but raise your family in Midland."
When I worked for M/D TOTCO, we had to make an annual appearance at the Permain Basin oil show which is held at the Ector county fairgrounds.
