Glad to hear that others are getting similar experiences with improved shifting with synthetic ATF. Now I'm all pumped about synthetics everywhere, too... the cheap 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 at Walmart are starting to tempt me to go with 15W50 synthetic...or should I get 10W30 for northeast winters? ... anyway ... Wondering how much of a cleaning effect the synthetic will have on the tranny, but how dirty does a tranny get inside? I don't know.
I wonder what kind of a difference synthetic differential oil would make? Better power, fuel economy, less wear,, etc? Does anyone know what kind of synthetic differential oil I should get for a 1984 300SD?
