Not sure about your car, but I can attest that the change away from the traditional ones with the two metal strips to the ones with the plastic ends is not good. When I tried those on my 300E with the single wiper, the blade had a fair amount of end to end movement, which the metal strip version doesn't have.

I was able to source the old style on-line. Did the same thing on my '97S320, which had the plastic ones when I bought it.
