The switch is not adjusted properly, not allowing the lever to fully engage park.

Disconnect the shifter cable from the shift lever on the transmission, loosen the two bolts on the switch, push the selector lever on the transmission to the rear of the car, park position, and now push two positions foreword, which should be neutral. Leave the steel lever connected to the switch



The selector lever has a hole (A), rotate the switch housing until hole (B) is directly behind hole (A), and it’s possible to insert a 4mm drill bit shank through hole A and B in the switch when the selector lever is in “N” position. Tighten the bolts and you’re done.
