The Oneida Community tried to deal with this issue openly and forthrightly. Exclusive sexual relations were forbidden. People had to rotate thru the community. Some people liked it. Some tended to form exclusive sexual relations and were chastized for it. Good looking people were more in demand in the rotation than homely people but everyone got some. It took a fair amount of effort to find a partner all the time and the elders had to keep track of who was fu**ing whom. I guess kind of like being a teenager your whole life.
