603 ALDA shim dimensions

SD's running great and I'm a little bored -

For those who can't pull the trigger on adjusting or removing the ALDA, gsxr suggested fitting a shim between the IP and the ALDA. IIRC, gsxr suggested shimming the ALDA to minimize the risk of overadjusting and damaging the aneroid capsule.

I found a used crush washer in my garage that happens to fit perfectly as a shim. Using my cheapo plastic Team Mechanix calipers from the $1.50 bin at some parts store, the washer is 17.1mm OD, 14.4mm ID. At 1.35mm thick it feels like the ALDA isn't even on.

gsxr, do you have measurements of shim heights and the effect on performance?

Hey, there's an idea! For those looking to cap the IP fitting, a ~1.5mm shim will allow you to use the ALDA as a cap and not have it cutting fuel when you don't want it to.

I have a 617 ALDA in the garage somewhere. When I find it I'll see if the same size shim will work.
