I am dealing with my W124 surging as well...does it mostly in reverse, and sometimes in drive, but never in park. And that too, is intermittent...I can go for days without surging and then like a demonic possession, the surging comes back!

The stalling when turning though, I think is a different problem. That happened to me, (especially with the A/C on) and it turned out to be the OVP.
