Concensus is, that the rebuilts are iffy, and it's best to go with new.
In the end I think I'll go new. I don't know which the car has right now either. I'm 2900 miles away from it, so I can't run out and look right now.
i'm also curious to know what the correct radiator is supposed to be in the car? All of my 300CD's have plastic ones in them. I was informed by the parts store that they have metal ones available for significantly more money. The old one lasted such a long time though, and there wasn't anything wrong with it until I made the stupid mistake of leaning on the neck, and breaking it right off. I felt like such a numb-nuts when did that , and I'm a little embarassed to mention it. Should I just go with the new plastic one again ? I promise I won't lean on it again... I learned my lesson..
