I forgot about the D-type, what a car. I think it was one of the first cars to yse disc brakes, made by Dunlop, who also made the disc brakes for the 300SL roadster and W112 300SE series in the early '60s.

That's what I read, more than once, the disc brakes part. Said they could go a good ways deeper into the turns before hitting the binders. I guess they cleaned up for a while.
