E55.i had a 70 toro gt.i got it probably in the condition yours was in after the accident.guy here in town had it for years and me and a couple buddies tried like hell to buy it from the guy.finally one day go over to my buddies house and there it sets in the driveway.man was i pissed.anyway he had to run to his brothers house in omaha,so we piled in and took off.got back into town about 7 at night and heard of a big party about 20 miles away.so pile in the toro and off we go.about midnight we had enough,or i should say we had all they had to offer(the kegs were dry)so we head for home down a deserted back road.decide to pop some bob seger into the 8-track ,and start jammin.next thing i know we're cruisin at a pretty good clip i look over and the speedos up for round 2.say to my buddy drivin "hey theres a stop sign over this hill".this was about 3/4 of a mile before the stop sign,needless to say we went thru it at at least 80.decided right then we better get off the highway,so we catch a gravel that runs us into town on a back street.this road has two 90 degree banked corners.we make the first one alright but leaving the second one my buddy punches it(first time toro driver)the car lurches right into the ditch,so now were cruising in the ditch.we come up to a field drive so i tell him hit it between the shoulder and driveway and we can pop back up on the road.so he does and we do for about two seconds,because when he popped back up on the road he countersteered to the right and for some dumb reason(drunk) punched it again.zoom right back in the ditch.well this time we weren't so lucky instead of a driveway ,we had to deal with about a 10foot culvert.BAM car stops on the passenger side,bob seger just whailin away.we all flop to the pass side.it took all 3 of us to get out of that thing them doors are HEAVY.anyway we get out of the car. door slams shut and were standing on this gravel road.and bob seger is still whailin away.we said to hell with it walked to town and had breakfast before we went and got it out of the ditch.that day my buddy gave it to me.i still have the engine it's just setting on my engine stand with an offy and 2x4 afb's .just waiting for a car to put it in.
