My weekend project on my 62 220SE (2.8 engine) seems to have taken a turn for the worse. My clunking noise is really in the rear end. The product of a broken tooth. Of all the things that I have worked on, a rear end is not one of then. Am I screwed? Is this a repairable problem or do I have to replace the whole thing? Where can I find parts for this job? and how much ?
I also have a spare rear end out of a 70 250, is there any way to use it, whole or guts (I didn't think it was possible). Any help is good help. As always this site is on of the best. Thanks, Mike
