Answer from Ireland

Hi Roy,

Thanks for the info, I actually did this over the past weekend and did find fuel leaking into the vacuum tube. I am going to change the Fuel Pressure Reg on Saturday and see how it goes.

Parts replaced so far are:

Engine wire harness

Two sending units for with relation to coolant temp. (not the one for temp gauge)

Air temp sensor

I plan to change:

Fuel Pressure Reg and than Fuel filter, fuel pump, two check valves, throttle actuator

Since I am coming to the US next week, I want to buy a reasonable price OBD code machine.
Don’t know what one I need for this car but hope to find something that read fault codes to help make trouble shooting easier at home.
Currently I take my car to a shop and he charges Eur50 to scan for codes.

I appreciate your follow up.
I wll keep you posted as soon as I complete my task over the weekend.

:EDIT:

Current Mileage: 155, 500

At 148, 000 miles:
Spark plugs changed
Wire changed
Fuel filter

At 135,000 miles:
Mass Air Flow meter replaced

Regards,
Pran
