The cloth driver's seat of my 182K 79 300SD is beat- physically and cosmetically. Lower cushion springs are shot, foam exploding from lower lumbar area. Can I switch the driver's and passenger's front seats? If not, what are repair or replacement options? Could I just go to a wrecking yard and get a nice one from a later car and expect it to bolt up? I don't particularly care about matching, will use covers anyway. Sorry about so many questions, thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge.
