Help...anybody?

I repacked both sets of wheel bearings in the front with grease and rechecked the tensioning nut on the outside of the hub. They seem to be fine, and the bearings, aside from being dry, seemed to be in good shape. The noise is still present. The plastic housing on top of the engine holding the 2 air cleaners has broken mounts (i.e. I can lift the whole thing off by hand without having to unbolt anything) and there is more play on the passenger side than the driver's side. Could this be rubbing against something transferring engine noise?

To repeat, the noise occurs when turning left at around 40 MPH (making a hard left turn). The noise is kind of a moaning/groaning noise (sounds like really noisy 4x4 tires almost). The noise is not consistent either. When it occurs, it will unevenly sound and then dissapear as soon as I straighten out.

Any idea...please???
Thanks.
