On the way to work this morning I actually got it to go into 4th but as soon as I put any kind of pressure on the gas pedal it would go back to 3. Should I tighten the bowden more? Less? Someother issue? I noticed yesterday that I bypassed some of the vacuum /electric signal doodads under the hood that feed the transmission data. I will have to reconnect these and see where I am. I will note this is the same problem I had when I got the car, pre shortcut.
There is a temperature controlled switchover valve behind the brake booster that feeds vacuum to the modulator. Ive seen it get stuck in one position. I dont know if there are any electronics involve in the vacuum system of these cars. Mine doesnt have any.
