I have a mechanic friend, a smart guy but not specifically a MB mechanic, who has a customer that wants him to install a power steering system on a 66/67 230SL.

My friend has a convenient source to a power steering system from a 280SL.

Will he be able to make the switch? Are there any parts, such as the brackets or pulleys that will not fit?

If the 280 unit won't work, can anyone recommend other years/cars as a donor source for a power steering system that WILL work.
