Arthur: foils the fiction of '94 SL600 OVP relay existence
Arthur,
Thanks so very much for your response to my question. I note you have 3999 prior posts. I read a few and you obviously know what you are talking about in this field. I do not. It seems incredible that vendors would sell me an OVP for this car when it was not so equipped and alldata.com would vainly attempt to show me, by diagrams, where it "is," but truly isn't. What a waste of time. I wanted the OVP to be there to "fix" the issues in my car, but it isn't there so I must look elsewhere. In this case, I suspect, the voltage regulator and/or the alternator.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to help me. I sincerely appreciate it. You had other things to do, but you chose to take a moment to educate me. In the future, your post will educate many others who would otherwise spend fruitless hours searching down a blind path to find an overvoltage/overload relay in a 1994 SL600 that does not exist.
Thanks again, from Ray in Nebraska.
