the single most important issue with the early 4 matics is drivetrain maintenance.if the 4 matic hardware has been maintained properly you should have a positive experience.ive taken good care of mine and im into the 5th year of ownership.horror stories abound on this list but few of these come from actual previous owners.there is a lot of disinformation out there.send me a pm if you need more info
