hey forum, i searched the forum for a sympton of tranny wont shift from first gear on a 1986 300e car and drew blanks,so can anyone offer any suggestions to the most probable causes?? i was looking at the car to purchase so didnt have many tools but did look to see that the vac line was connected to the modulator and the thing would shift from first to reverse dood so i figured the linkage had to be right.also engine didnt smoke at all and tanny was overfilled about 1/2 inch above full when cold(55 deg f)
