doc, i really went un-prepared fot troubleshooting,seller said car shifted good,on test drive i found problem,he did look supprised. its hard to believe most sellers but he claimed it was ok the last time driven. fluid was blood red so i suspect it was changed to try to solve problem.
on the kick down sw i did activate sw with pedal while engine was off,could hear click but failed to take my meter for an ohm check,i did take it to 5k rpm and still no shift. i have never tried but would think that the tranny is designed to shift from first at full throttle.
i did try to manually shift and got same results.i could see the bowen cable and it did look to be correct(connected)
