I do pushups before every workout at the gym.

10 sets of 12 pushups, on the knuckles, 30 seconds rest between each set. Keep your legs straight and lighty touch your chest to the floor. I also use a mat and wear my workout gloves when doing these to protect my knuckles.

Do that before all your workouts or at home by themselves and you'll be fine!
