I don't believe in oil testing for a car that is worth $2k. If someone else takes the data, I'll use it.

I'm sure the oil tests we do on my 300d will show that I need to change the oil. Either the TBN will be too low, or the soot too high. However, I think that denies how over designed these engines are. They produce 130HP with 8 quarts of oil, with a cooler.

Compared to the gas engines cited in this thread, we have lots of design margin.
