The cold nature, might be related to a power loss because the KE is actually an electrified mechanical injection system. It can actually run without the electrical part hooked up.

Agreed, so many things at once sounds like blown or dirty fuses. The cold start issue is *likely* a blown fuse in the OVP relay (behind the plastic cover behind the battery) or the relay itself. No juice to the cold start valve if it's blown.
