Thanx for the reply Mike. Gas mileage should not be a big problem, since I onlky plan on using it on sunny Sundays for foun outings.

I missed a real beauty in Florida that needed a tranny. My only hurry is that I want to get a 280SEL in my garage before my kitchen pass expires. I have to be on extra good behaviour and that leaves little time for "the search". I see that you are from Temecula! There is a 73 Royal blue 280SEL for sale out there, it's not yours is it? Only 65,000 miles and $3200. Needs A/C fixed. It is kinda a long drive, but I work for Delta Air Lines, so I could do the trip in short legs if I wanted too. I visited once a couple of years ago for some wine tasting, it would be a good excuse to go back there again!
