I was supposed to drive my 300E out to my indie this weekend for the head gasket repair. Unfortunately, a blown heater hose prevented any chance of driving.

The indie arrived at my house with a two-wheel dolly. He backed the car over to the dolly and secured the rear wheels, letting the fronts roll freely.

He's a very fastiduous MB tech, so if he had no qualms with that type of towing technique, then I should think that yours will be fine as well.
