You have all been such a big help... My AM walking buddy's husband owns a high-end auto body shop where he refurbishes $100,000+ classics, hot-rods and high-ends. and I took it over to him this afternoon. His detailer is going to spend 4-hours on it this Sunday buffing/detailing inside & out by hand for me. Her husband tells me the car is in fabulous condition...inside & out. Mileage legit... Since its still dusty and wheel-wells grimey, etc., I am going to hold off on posting the pics until after Sunday's bath. Please bare with me. I'm anticipating your input. As of this post it has 60,044 miles on it.
AUSTIN: Interior is seriously like new, green leather. Exterior is also an olive green... I'm located on the central coast in CA (home of the Pebble Beach Concours' de Elegance, [fascinating] million-dollar car auctions and Cherry's Jubilee). Sun-roof is primo, rubber seals are not dried out or in disrepair. Heated seats. Its really a lovely. My only concern is that I'm not classic Mercedes saavy even though its a safe & classy car. I'm truly on the bubble...
THE DON: Hand washing only... I absolutely agree.
LARRY DELOR: Bare with me on the pics... As mentioned above, I'm going to take the pics after its bath on Sunday. I'll try to get some pics of the underside the best I can. It appears the drivers side may have had a boo-boo in its early years but Brad confirms there's never been any frame or front-end damage at all. It's the passenger side rear door that appears to have had some body work... I'll take a look at the rear window in the AM and report regarding any cloudy or milky coloring around its corners (can you share what it is this clouded, or not, indicates? I'm taking all this in...its' very helpful). Thanks.
To my good fortune my friends husband is very generous with his expertise, time and assistance and a big help to me.
