No the dielectric grease is not model or year specific.The use of this item is to keep the boot of the wires from sticking,and acts as an insulator from moisture. Do install the wires plugs rotor cap and any thing you desire before setting the fuel mix,or set the mix and do the others its up to you!But when ever you do what ever you do don't get into a rush take you time to think and be sure of what you have done even if you must write it down to remember the direction of turns and the amount of turns,when setting the fuel mix.JNT
