The actual nozzle is in a spring loaded socket type thing. You stick a fine pin in the nozzle hole and sort of "click" or "ratchet" it in the direction you want it to shoot. It takes a little trial and error to get it to hit the target, but it usually stays put, due to the spring loading, once you get it aimed.
