Only seen a picture of the Lincon Continental diesel, but I worked at a BMW shop in the mid '90s and it's the same turbocharged six used in the mid '80s BMW 524TD. Decent engine except for the timing belt and being a pain to work on, and parts were getting hard to find even then.
